About Kate Kono

I’m a self-taught artist based in Northumberland, England. Inspired by the flowers in my garden, painting gives me a childlike joy and stillness that I thought I’d lost. Flowers can represent so many things: they can be a gesture of love, of sorrow, of friendship. Capturing them in watercolour to be enjoyed forever in bloom is something I cherish.
